Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
The question is whether we should go on sinning so that grace may abound. We have established in earlier meetings that we are born of God and we cannot sin, i.e our spirit, which is the one that is born of God cannot sin, because we are born of the incorruptible seed of God. This if not well explained may sound like a license to sin. The Apostle Paul says how we who died to sin can live in sin again. Verse 2.
God has dealt with the problem of sin past, present and future. In other words, Christ paid for the sins we committed in the past, the sins we commit now and the sins we will commit in the future. Which means as far as God is concerned, the problem of sin does not exist.
Now what about Galatians 5:21?
Gal 5:21 Envy, uncontrolled drinking and feasting, and such things: of which I give you word clearly, even as I did in the past, that they who do such things will have no part in the kingdom of God.
· What is the kingdom of God?
· When do we inherit the Kingdom?
Rom 14:17 For God's Kingdom is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of the righteousness, peace, and joy which the Holy Spirit gives.
The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. It also means that we inherit the kingdom of God here on earth, not when we get to heaven. Therefore inheriting the kingdom of God would mean enjoying the benefits of the Kingdom.
Sin leads to death, which death, spiritual or physical?
(Romans 8:13 GNB) For if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death your sinful actions, you will live.
(James 1:15 KJVR) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Our human nature always wants to sin, but our spirit nature to do right.
Gal 5:17 For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our human nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that you cannot do what you want to do.
Who you feed most will always win when there is a battle!
